Harrogate is a beautiful spa town in North Yorkshire. The town is a tourist destination and its visitor attractions include its spa waters, RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, the Great Yorkshire Show and Harrogate International Centre. The town has a population of over 70,000 and is a seat of local government for Harrogate Borough Council.
The Town is easily reached by train or bus with the main stations for both being right in the centre of town.
Harrogate neighbourhood police team is divided between the Town and Outer areas. The Town team consists of an Inspector, a Sergeant, 4 PCs and 4 PCSOs.
The Town policing area incorporates Harlow Moor, High Harrogate and Low Harrogate. Harlow Moor is predominantly residential, but also includes Harrogate's well known Valley Gardens. High and Low Harrogate include the lively and attractive Town Centre with numerous shops, bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs and, of course, Betty's famous Tearooms.
Harrogate International Centre is also located within the Town Centre and brings in visitors throughout the year to conferences, exhibitions and concerts.
Harrogate is a pleasant place to spend a day or evening out with historically low levels of theft and violent crime over the last 12 months in both Town and Outer areas.
