Ripon and Pateley Bridge Safer Neighbourhood Area

Welcome to the Ripon and Pateley Bridge Safer Neighbourhood Team page.

The Ripon and Pateley Bridge Safer Neighbourhood Team is led by Inspector Steve Breen and is split into three geographical areas, policed by five sergeant-led teams:

Ripon City - Moorside, Minster and Spa wards. This area predominantly covers the main conurbation of Ripon, and include six junior schools, two senior schools, as well as Claro barracks, home to the newly relocated 21 Royal Engineer Regiment.

Ripon Rural - Mashamshire, Kirkby Malzeard and Bishop Monkton wards. This area is predominantly rural and incorporates the town of Masham and several villages around the Ripon area, including Grewelthorpe, Kirkby Malzeard, Bishop Monkton, Bishop Thornton and Burton Leonard.

Pateley Bridge - Pateley Bridge, Lower Nidderdale, Nidd Valley and Washburn wards. This area stretches from the Ripon and Masham borders to the north down to Beckwithshaw, North Rigton and Otley to the south.
