Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Area

Harrogate is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with the Vale of York to the east and the Yorkshire Dales to the west and north-west. It is a busy and thriving town, which originally came to prominence due to its spa waters, and has now become one of Europe's largest exhibition and conference centres.

We cover a total of 14 wards, which are split into three Sergeant-led teams. Each of these teams contains a mixture of Police Constables and Police Community Support Officers.

  • The North Team covers Killinghall, Saltergate, New Park, Bilton and Woodfield,
  • The Town Centre Team covers High Harrogate, Low Harrogate and Harlow Moor,
  • The South Team covers Rossett, Stray, Granby, Starbeck, Hookstone and Pannal.

You can get more information about protecting yourself from crime on our crime prevention advice page.

Together making Harrogate even safer.
