Detectives in Northallerton are renewing their appeal to trace the man responsible for a robbery in the early hours of Saturday 21 March 2010 and releasing an e-fit of the suspect.
The robbery occurred at just after 3am close to the mini roundabout on Romanby Road where Alverton Lane exits the Applegarth car park when a 19-year-old local man was walking from the High Street towards Romanby.
The victim was approached by a man who demanded that he hand over his mobile phone. After the suspect took the Samsung mobile phone he punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground where he continued the assault by kicking him.
The only description of the offender is that he is approximately 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall with light coloured hair.
Following the robbery the offender ran off towards the High Street with another man.
Detective Constable Lee Allenby, of Northallerton CID, said: "If anyone does recognise the e-fit I would ask that they contact me. We should not put up with this behaviour in our communities and the victim deserves to know that the offender has been brought to justice."
