Handbag theft at Scarborough hotel

Police in Scarborough are investigating the theft of handbag from a hotel reception area.

The incident occurred at the Grand Hotel, St Nicholas Cliff, between 4.30pm and 5.15pm on Thursday 3 February 2011.

It is believed the brown shoulder-style handbag was removed from a sofa while the elderly female victim was sat with her husband in the hotel foyer.
