Police hunt Scarborough flasher

Police in Scarborough are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself in the town.

It happened at approximately 8.45pm on Saturday 9 July 2011, in a shelter in the area of Peasholme Park where aviaries were previously located.

The offender approached a man in his early 60s, who was walking through the park, and dropped his tracksuit bottoms exposing himself.

The suspect is described as white, with a pale complexion, 5ft 5in to 5ft 8in tall with a slim build and fair hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing dark cotton tracksuit bottoms with a blue and grey polo shirt.

He was accompanied by a girl, believed to be in her early teens, with long straight blonde hair who was wearing a black and white jacket.

PC Paul Rogers, of the Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This is a shocking and disturbing offence which left the victim feeling very upset.

"It is important that we locate the suspect before he offends again. This is completely unacceptable behaviour, which we will not tolerate.

"I am appealing to anyone with any information that could help to identify the suspect to come forward as a matter of urgency."
