Police seek Corsa driver following Craven collision

Police are appealing for the driver of a red Vauxhall Corsa to come forward following a collision in the Craven area.

Collision

It occurred at approximately 8.15pm on Monday 11 June 2011 on West Lane in Sutton-in-Craven when a Honda moped and a red Vauxhall Corsa collided. Following this collision the moped then collided with a tree

As a result of the second collision the rider of the moped, a 28-year-old local man, was taken to Airedale General Hospital with a broken leg and pelvis.

Traffic Constable Chris Doyle, of the force's Roads Policing Group, said: "I am urging the driver of the Vauxhall to come forward as they may not be aware of the incident which occurred shortly after the initial collision and the extent of the injuries suffered by the rider.

"I also need to speak to anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident and ask that they contact the police straight away."
