Police appeal to trace victim of theft

Pickering police are appealing for a victim of theft to come forward.

Incident

The request follows the theft of a facia of a silver and black Tevion car radio/CD player between midnight and 1.50am on Saturday 9 July 2011, from a car parked in the Ings Garth, Firthlands and Goslipgate area of Pickering.

It was recovered after a 17-year-old youth was arrested for other offences in the town. He has now been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

PC Andy Pomfret, of the Pickering Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We have already made a number of enquiries to try and trace the owner of the radio/CD cover but have not managed to identify the rightful owner. I am asking them to come forward as I need to speak to them."

If you have had this item stolen or can help to identify the victim please contact PC Andy Pomfret of Malton Police Station on 0845 60 60 24 7 quoting reference number 12110113323, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
