Police in Selby are investigating a knife-point robbery in which a man had his wallet stolen by two suspects.
The incident occurred between 12noon and 1.30pm on Wednesday 7 January 2009 as the 30-year-old victim was cutting through an alley way off Woodville Terrace that leads onto the path running behind the houses on Abbot's Road.
One of the suspects stood in front of the victim and demanded that he handed over his wallet. When the victim turned around to look at the second suspect a lock knife was pointed at him as a threat.
In fear of being hurt, the victim handed over his wallet which contained an amount of cash. The two men then ran off in the direction of Bawtry Road.
The man who demanded the wallet was described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s, about 5ft 8in tall, dark hair, stubble or a goatee beard, a "scrawny" build and he was wearing a white baseball cap and a dark-coloured top.
The second man who produced the knife was also white, aged in his early-to-mid 20s, about 6ft tall, medium build, "skinhead" hair style, spotty complexion and possibly wearing jeans and a jacket.
Both spoke with local Yorkshire accents and will have been hanging around the Abbot's Road/Three Lakes area of Selby at the time of the robbery.
