Ripon car window smashed

Police in Ripon are appealing for witnesses and information after a car window was smashed.

The incident happened on Borrage Green Lane at about 2.55pm on Saturday 9 June 2012.

It is believed a stone was deliberately thrown at the rear window of the gold Volvo V70 estate car parked on the road. The owner reported the criminal damage to the police.

A group of youths were seen moving away from the location on foot in the direction of Harrogate Road.

It is believed a man may have witnessed the incident and spoke to the group of youths about throwing stones.

Officers are urging this man to come forward as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.
