Scarborough police are appealing for the public's help to identify a man believed to be responsible for a sexual assault.
It occurred in September 2011, when the victim, a woman in her 70s, was stood on the Spa Bridge watching the arrival of the Queen Mary 2. A man engaged her in a brief conversation before briefly touching her in an inappropriate manner. The woman challenged him and he left the area.
A man matching the description of the offender was seen in the Crescent Park between 2pm and 3pm on both Monday 13 and Wednesday 15 August 2012.
The suspect is described as approximately 5ft 3in tall with a medium to stocky build and having short blond hair.
PC Georgina Hanson, of Scarborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "I would like to speak with anyone who was in the Crescent Park at the time and may have seen the man and ask them to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.
"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been approached by the man and spoke with him for any length of time."
