Police in Leyburn are inviting the local community to have their say about a proposed new youth shelter in the town.
Officers from the Leyburn Safer Neighbourhood Team and Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership are holding a drop-in session on Friday 23 January between 3pm and 6pm at Thornborough Hall in Leyburn.
Residents will be able to call in and find out more about the proposals and chat with local officers about any concerns or suggestions they may have.
PCSO Mandy Hoss said: "We are working together with Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership to provide a shelter for young people to meet their friends and socialise. However, we need to seek the public's views and if the local community believe it will be of benefit to the town.
"We are inviting people to call in and see us on Friday, take a look at the proposals and give us their opinion. They can come and have a chat with local officers and view the displays and express any concerns or support they have for the project. There will also be survey which the public can complete.
"Please come along and let your views be heard."
