Antique clock stolen from Whitby shop

Whitby police are appealing for witnesses after an antique clock was stolen from a shop in the town.

The 3ft double weight Vienna wall clock, worth £550, was taken from The Bazaar, on Skinner Street, sometime between 10.30am and 4pm on Friday 14 September 2012.

It is believed that the clock which has a white face and Roman numerals, was stolen while the shop assistant was distracted.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the theft or saw anyone carrying a large clock around Whitby at the time of the incident, to get in touch.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 2 - and ask for PC Neil Graham or Whitby police.
