North Yorkshire Police are appealing for vital witnesses to come forward following a collision in Catterick.
It occurred on Longwood Bank at 6.50am on Monday 17 September 2012, and involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa heading out of the village and a blue Renault Clio travelling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the collision the 29-year-old local woman driving the Clio and the 27-year-old man driving the Corsa, also local, were taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with serious injuries which are not through to be life threatening.
Traffic Sergeant Trevor Burton, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: "I know the there was a white panel type van and red Seat motor car travelling out of Catterick at the time of the collision and urge the drivers to come forward as I believe they are vital witnesses to the incident.
"I also need to speak to anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of either the Corsa or the Clio prior to the incident."
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Trevor Burton. Alternatively, information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
