Witness Appeal - Serious Collision On The A65 At Long Preston

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious single-vehicle collision on the A65 at Long Preston in the Craven Area.

The report came into North Yorkshire Police at 1.30pm today (Wednesday 14 January 2009) of a red-coloured Peugeot 306 car that had come off the road after it had been travelling from the direction of the Cleatop roundabout, near Settle, towards Long Preston.

The road is currently closed whilst police, fire and ambulance attend the scene.

Local diversions are in place and it is expected the road will remain closed for approximately four hours.
