Scarborough police are appealing for a vital witness to come forward after a laptop was stolen during a burglary.
Sometime between 12.45pm and 1.15pm on Wednesday 17 October 2012, a property on Fieldside was broken into and red Acer laptop was taken.
A few hours later the computer was sold to Wanted second hand dealers on Castle Road.
At around 4pm, shortly after the laptop arrived at the shop, it was sold to a man for £130.
Officers are urgently trying to trace the man as he could have information vital to the investigation.
Anyone who can help police to establish the identity of the man who bought the computer is urged to contact Detective Constable Steve Lloyd, of Scarborough CID, on 101.

Two local men aged 26 and 28 have been arrested in connection with the incident.
