Police in Ripon are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who has gone missing from his home in the town.
52-yr-old Derek Raymond Brinkley was last seen by his wife on Monday 12 January and last had contact with her on Wednesday 14 January.
Police are concerned for his welfare as it is very much out of character for him to be out of contact for so long.
Mr Brinkley is believed to have taken his car with him, a blue Daewoo Matiz, registration W824 VHN.
He is described as 5ft 6in, of stocky build with short grey hair, blue eyes and a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing grey pin-striped trousers, a blue shirt, black jacket and black shoes.
If anyone has seen a man matching Mr Brinkley's description, has seen his vehicle or knows of his whereabouts, please contact police.
Or better still, if Derek hears or reads this appeal, please get in touch with family, friends or police and let us know you are safe.
Anyone with any information, please call North Yorkshire Police on 0845 60 60 247.
