As of 4 August 2022, foreign nationals are no longer required to register with the police as an overseas visitor.
This is due to changes to the wider immigration system that mean you’re likely to be asked about your circumstances before you travel to the UK.
This change applies to foreign nationals in the following situations.
There is no need to attend, or pay for, any existing appointments.
However, you will not be refunded if you have already paid the fee because it covered the cost of processing your application.
If you are already in the UK, there is no need to keep your police registration certificate.
