Q1.  I would like to know how many road traffic collisions have occurred within a two mile stretch either side of Norton-on-Derwent on the B1248 Beverley Road in the last 5 years after 1800hrs.

Q2. I would like access to any meeting minutes, policy discussions or documents held by North Yorkshire Police that provide a rational justification for the deployment of speed camera vans on the B1248 Norton-on-Derwent on Friday evenings.

Q1. 12 slight/minor collisions, 4 serious collisions, 3 fatal collisions.

Please note the figures above relate to collisions occurring between 6pm and midnight.

Q2. No information held specifically related to any meeting minutes, policy discussions or documents in relation to the deployment of speed camera vans on the B1248 Norton-on-Derwent on Friday evenings.

Safety camera deployment to a location is down to collision statistics for that area, events that are happening across the county, the time of day/year, the weather and the known road traffic flow of certain roads to name a few criteria.
