Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.
Decision
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you.
Q1. Niche RMS
Q2. No information held.
Q3. Most of the characteristics stated, religion, legal residency, country of birth, nationality and ethnicity, are recorded on an individual’s police record and the various fields could be retirieved from an electronic search. However, these are not mandatory fields for completion and rely on Officers inputting the data when crimes are recorded. Therefore, if the information is not recorded, within the fields, at the time of an occurrence/crime then that information is not held.
Information may be recorded within the actual crime reports, however this would not be retrievable through an electronic search and would require a manual read.
Q4. No information held.
Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
