Yes, we have literature including posters and leaflets (translated into many different languages). We do not have pens, posters, t-shirts etc.
Q7. Does the police service refer victims of hate crime to independent advice and support services?

Yes – as well as referrals to Supporting Victims, we also signpost to GALOP, TELL MAMA, CST.
Q8. Is the police service planning to participate in National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2022
Yes, we are working collaboratively with North Yorkshire Council, City of York Council and Universities. We will be promoting Hate Crime awareness and providing training inputs.

Yes in 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021

Section 17 of the Act requires North Yorkshire Police, when refusing to provide such information (because the information is exempt) to provide you the applicant with a notice which: (a) states that fact, (b) specifies the exemption in question and (c) states (if that would not otherwise be apparent) why the exemption applies.
Section 21 – Information Reasonably Accessible by Other Means
This exemption applies as the requested information has been deemed already reasonably accessible by other means.
Section 21(1) is an absolute class-based exemption. This means that if the requested information is held by the public authority, and it is reasonably accessible to the applicant by other means, it is not subject to the public interest test.
