From 1st August 2021 – 1st August 2022, how many reported incidents of tool theft were there. We need data split by:

-              How the tools were stolen (e.g. van broken into)

-              Month they were stolen

-              Whether the case was resolved (e.g. arrest made)

From 1st August 2021 – 1st August 2022, how many reported incidents of tool theft were there.

North Yorkshire Police recorded a total of 432 crimes, of all types, in which property described as “tools” is recorded as being stolen.

We need data split by:

How the tools were stolen (e.g. van broken into)

Of the 432 crimes referenced above –

                                203 were Burglaries

                                132 were theft of or from a vehicle

                                1 was a theft from the person

                                1 was as part of a Criminal Damage

                                72 were “other theft”

                                23 were shoplifting
