Please note the results are incomparable as there will be victims of domestic violence where the crime was also Sexual, therefore will show in both datasets. In addition, there may be multiple victims per crime and a victim may also have been a victim multiple times during the 12 month period, the results in the table above count all.

I have therefore decided to exempt providing you with a separate response (to question 5 and 6) pursuant to Section 21 Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act).
Section 17 of the Act requires North Yorkshire Police, when refusing to provide such information (because the information is exempt) to provide you the applicant with a notice which: (a) states that fact, (b) specifies the exemption in question and (c) states (if that would not otherwise be apparent) why the exemption applies.
