FOI Fuel Theft (0203.2022-23)
Request
1. How many fuel thefts were recorded in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and between January 1 and June 1 2022? Please breakdown by year.
2. Where were the thefts from? Please breakdown by date (as in question 1) and place of theft, i.e. how many thefts were from petrol stations, from motor vehicles, supermarkets, hypermarkets or elsewhere.
3. If possible, please provide the estimated value of stolen fuel for each year/part year mentioned.
4. How many convictions or cautions have been issued in relation to fuel theft? Again, please breakdown by date.

*Please note that the value of the fuel taken is not a mandatory field therefore I have provided the figures we do have but this may not represent the full value of fuel taken durng the timeframes requested.
