Gross Misconduct Hearing outcome.
Officer concerned: Officer PC 702 Joe Daniel

Outcome summary
On 5th April 2024 at York Magistrates Court, PC 702 Joe Daniel pleaded guilty and was subsequently convicted of stalking without fear of violence contrary to section 2A(1) of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
It was alleged that the above breached the standards of professional behaviour relating to discreditable conduct and amounted to gross misconduct.
During the hearing PC 702 Joe Daniel accepted responsibility for the conviction and admitted this breached the standards of professional behaviour for discreditable conduct and amounted to Gross Misconduct.
Decision
The Chair, Chief Constable Forber, determined that the conviction of PC 702 Joe Daniel amounted to Gross Misconduct and balancing all the factors, dismissed the officer without notice.
The officer will be placed on the College of Policing Barred list.
