Police and council prepared for Scarborough protest

The English Defence League (EDL) is planning to demonstrate in Scarborough this weekend. They intend to march and demonstrate in support of homeless veterans. This will have an impact upon the town centre on the afternoon of Saturday 28 November.

Multi agency approach to tackle unsafe taxis in Harrogate

On Friday 6th November 2015, North Yorkshire Police Road Policing Group, Harrogate Borough Council, the DSVA (the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) worked in partnership to carry out vehicle safety checks on private hire vehicles and Hackney Carriages in Harrogate
