Appeal following a commercial burglary in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred in York city centre in the early hours of yesterday morning (29 January).

It happened at Brown’s, Davygate, York at 5.20am after someone forced entry in to the store.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any persons seen loitering in the area around the time of the incident, either as people left the city centre after a night out or were arriving in York for work.
