Appeal following commercial burglary on Dennis Street, York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a commercial burglary that occurred on Dennis Street, York.

It happened between 4pm and 6.30pm on 31 May 2017, when two men broke into a construction site.


Both men, described as white men, were dressed identically. They were wearing black baseball caps, grey t-shirts with the word “BOSS” written on them with black tracksuit bottoms. They may have been in possession of power tools or possibly be covered in dirt/dust from the site they had come from.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the possible sighting of the men around the Walmgate/Piccadilly areas of York on the evening of 31 May.
