Bridge at Tunstall damaged by vehicle that failed to stop

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after the bridge between Tunstall and Colburn was damaged overnight between Thursday 23 December and Friday 24 December 2016.

A large proportion of the bridge wall was demolished after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop and report the incident to the police.

Officers are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any damaged vehicles that may be involved in this incident, believed to be of a large delivery vehicle size.
