Appeal for witnesses following crash on A174 near to Ellerby

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a two vehicle collision that occurred on the A174 near to Ellerby.

It happened at 5.10pm on 26 May 2021 and involved a white Ford Fiesta and a white Vauxhall van.

Two air ambulances attended the scene and after assessment, three casualties were taken by land ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicles prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.

The stretch of road was closed for around three hours while officers investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle(s) to be recovered.
