Appeal for witnesses of a Scarborough assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough.

It happened on Esplanade Road at around 9.30am on Thursday 23 August 2018 and involved a local authority employee being assaulted by a member of a public walking their dog.

The assault resulted in minor injury to the employee.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the person who was walking the dog at this time. He is described as a white male approximately 6ft tall and of medium build. He is aged around 40 years old and had spiky short brown hair shaved at the back and sides. He was wearing a white T-shirt, denim shorts and blue canvas shoes.
