Appeal for witnesses of an assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough.

It happened near Matalan on St Thomas Street at approimately 1:30am on 27 September 2015 and involved a 34 year old man being assaulted.

There are believed to be three suspects described as white men aged about 18 and wearing dark clothing.

The victim received a deep cut to the head and was taken to Scarborough Hospital.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
