Boy injured after collision with bus in York

Police are appealing for witnesses after a schoolboy was hit by a bus in York.

The boy, aged 11, suffered injuries to his legs and arms in the collision, which occurred on Tadcaster Road at the junction with Pulleyn Drive at around 8.10am on Friday 23 January 2015.

He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

The road was closed between Pulleyn Drive and the traffic lights at Hob Moor, while specialist collision investigators conduct their enquiries at the scene.

The road was reopened at around 12pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
