Cyclist injured in collision

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a collision in which a cyclist was injured in Scorton, Richmond.

It happened between 10am and 10.15am on Sunday (2 May).

A pedal cycle and a white estate car collided on the B6271 between Scorton and Bolton on Swale.

The cyclist fell into the road and sustained multiple bruises. The driver of the car did not stop.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.

In particular, we are appealing for any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision.
