It happened in the alleyway just off Tennent Road in Acomb, York, at approximately 3.10pm on Friday 12 November 2021
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident that occurred in Acomb, York.
It happened just off Tennent Road, in the alleyway, at approximately 3.10pm on Friday 12 November 2021 when a man approached an 11-year-old girl and asked her name and her age before telling her ‘she was cute’.
As she cycled away from him, he shouted after her.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, we are appealing for any information that could help us to identify him.
The man is described as a white, approx. 30-50 years old, with a tan, an accent, very dark brown almost black hair, of average build, and around 5ft 10ins tall.
He is also described as having a scar under his right eye that was approximately 2cm in length and he was wearing all black.
If you were in the area at the time and recall seeing a man who matches this description or have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that may have captured something, please get in touch.
