Police appeal for witnesses following a sexual assault in York
Police are investigating an incident where a sexual assault has occurred at the start of September 2021 on Poppleton Road in York. It is believed that this has occurred on either Thursday 09 September or Thursday 16 September 2021 at some time between 6pm and 8pm. The incident has only recently been reported to the the Police.
A male has approached a lone 13-year-old female trying to talk to her and asking her to come back to his house. The female tried to walk away from the male, he then grabbed hold of her by the arm, and on the chest. The girl then ran away towards a bus stop.This occurred just past The Fox on Holgate Road as it leads on to Poppleton Road.
The male is described as a white male with brown hair and a stubbly beard. He had a beanie type hat on and was wearing a black ripped coat with writing on, Adidas tracksuit bottoms (that possibly had a paint stain on them) and old shoes.
