Police are appealing for an important witness to come forward following a serious incident in York.
Officers want to hear from anyone who was driving out of York in the area of Wigginton Road or Sutton Road between 11pm on Friday 12 November and 12.30am in the early hours of Saturday.
Anyone who was in that area at around those times is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police – particularly if they have dashcam footage or remember seeing a vehicle parked along the road.
In connection with the incident, a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with kidnap, assault and motoring offences. He appeared at York Magistrates Court on Monday 15 November 2021.
