Police investigating a two-vehicle collision on Wigginton Road opposite York District Hospital are appealing for a key witness to come forward.
It happened just before 3pm on Wednesday (3 November 2021) and involved a white Ford Fiesta and a red Toyota Aygo.
The man driving the Aygo was taken to hospital for a check-up.
The driver of the Fiesta made off on foot towards Belgrave Street without exchanging their details.
The potential witness was stood at the bus stop but does not catch a bus. They then walk towards the city.
We are appealing for this member of the public to come forward to assist officers with the investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver of the Fiesta. He is described as white, tall and wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark hooded top.
