Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision on the A684 Harmby Road at Harmby Leyburn.
Police were called out to reports of a serious collision which occurred Eastbound on the A684 Harmby Road at 0020hrs on Tuesday 26 October 2021.
The incident involved a white milk tanker and a pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian, a local man who was in his 40s was pronounced dead at scene.
The road was closed for several hours to allow police to carry out investigation work at the scene of the incident. The road was reopened to the public just before 8am this morning (Tuesday 26 October 2021).
The tanker driver is assisting police with their enquiries. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the pedestrian, milk tanker and or any other vehicle travelling along Harmby road between midnight and 0020hrs to come forward.
