North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a serious assault that occurred in York city centre.
It happened on Bridge Street and High Ousegate area of the city between 2.30am and 4.30am on Sunday 10 October 2021.
A male victim was assaulted to the head and back. He suffered injuries to his right ear and head, and was taken by ambulance to York Hospital for treatment.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, and are particularly appealing for witnesses to the assault or anyone who may have captured the incident on mobile phone or CCTV.
