Detectives in Northallerton Criminal Investigation Department are appealing to witnesses of a serious assault to contact them.
The assault took place around 3.15am on Sunday 17 April 2022 on Elder Road in Northallerton. The victim, a 20-year-old man from the local area, was left with lacerations to his face and a fractured eye socket.
Officers are requesting anyone who was in the area at the time who saw the assault to contact them, so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have capture dash cam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on conditional bail.
