Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the attempted theft of a bicycle in York.
It happened on Blossom Street at 8.30pm on Monday 4 April 2022, and involved a male suspect attempting to steal a bike locked to a bike rack.
He was seen to use a tool of some kind, however failed in his attempt, leaving the locks badly damaged. He then rode away from the scene, travelling across Blossom Street towards Moss Street.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information from a member of the public who may have filmed this incident and may hold vital information which could assist the investigation
