Roads Policing Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed a collision, or captured footage of it on a dash or doorbell camera to contact them.
A serious collision took place on the A629 near Cononley Lane Ends in Skipton at around 12.15am on Saturday 14 May.
A white Audi A6, which is believed to have been travelling on convoy with a black Volkswagen Golf and a white Audi A3, left the road while travelling in the direction of Cross Hills.
The Audi A6 struck a drystone wall and a lamppost, leaving the driver, a 23-year-old man from Bradford, with serious facial and abdominal injuries. He was taken to Airedale Hospital, where he still currently remains in a serious condition.
It’s believed that the three vehicles have travelled together from the centre of Skipton, onto Keighley Road and then onto the A629 towards Cross Hills when the collision occurred.
Anyone who saw any of the vehicles either prior to the collision, the collision itself or who has captured dashcam or doorbell footage of the vehicles as they travelled is asked to call 101, select option 2 and ask to speak to Traffic Constable 174 David Minto.
