North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses to contact them following a serious collision on the A59 at West Marton.
At around 9.30pm on Friday 15 July 2022 a white Volvo C30 car carrying four people and a red Parcelforce articulated lorry collided at the crossroads. A passenger in the Volvo, a man in his 20’s, sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a serious condition.
Roads policing officers are appealing for anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision, or the collision itself to get in touch. Anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of the vehicles or the collision is urged to get in touch.
If you have any information which would assist the investigation, please email [email protected]. You can also call 101, select option 2 and ask to speak to Amanda Stokes. Please quote reference 12220123596.
Officers would like to thank road users for their patience and understanding while the road was closed to allow Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out their work.
