North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a car was damaged by a group of men who shouted racial abuse at the driver on Water Lane in York.
The incident happened between 11.05pm -11.25pm on Saturday 16 July 2022 when the victim’s small red car was stopped by a group of men aged in their late teens who kicked and hit the victim’s car, causing damage to the bodywork.
One of the offenders was seen with a large stick to strike the vehicle. The victim tried to engage with the group but was subjected to racist abuse.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone in the area at the time who witnessed the incident or would could identify those involved.
