Appeal following Thirsk collision involving stolen vehicle

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a collision Involving a stolen vehicle in Thirsk.
It happened shortly after 7.30am on Saturday 13 August 2022 at the junction of Sutton Road and Hambleton Place and involved a black 2011 Renault Clio and a Vauxhall Corsa.
The occupants of the Renault made off on foot from the scene into Hambleton Place and the vehicle was reported stolen later that day.
The occupants of the Vauxhall Corsa, an adult and a child, both sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics. The stretch of road was closed for a short time while officers investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles to be recovered.
We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicles prior to the collision, particularly the Renault Clio, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
In particular, we are appealing to residents of Hambleton Place, Hambleton Avenue and the surrounding streets to check their CCTV and doorbell cameras for any footage of potential offenders making off from the scene.
