Appeal for witnesses and CCTV following attempted burglary in Copmanthorpe

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a attempted burglary at a property in Copmanthorpe, York.
At around 3.40am this morning, Tuesday 16 August 2022 a homeowner on Barons Crescent in Copmanthorpe reported a man in dark clothing attempting to break into the patio doors of their house.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything they believe to be suspicious in the area or anyone who may have recorded CCTV footage of a man in dark clothing acting suspiciously in the area.
