Police in York are investigating the theft of a blue Voodoo Marasa women’s hybrid bike from outside York Art Gallery on Monday 22 August 2022.
The owner had left it secured in the bike racks outside the gallery on Exhibition Square at 9.30am but it had been removed when she returned at 2pm.
As part of ongoing enquiries, police are appealing for information about who took the bike and to help recover the bike itself.
They are also appealing for any private CCTV or doorbell footage in the area that could assist the investigation.
The victim has provided an image of a bike that is like theirs. However, the stolen bike has a black seat cover and small rubber clear lights on front right handlebar.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should make a report via the North Yorkshire Police website or by calling 101, option 1.
If you wish to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
