Police in Northallerton are appealing for witnesses and information about a serious assault outside a High Street bar.
The incident happened outside ZOO at around 2am on Friday 5 August 2022.
The victim, a local man aged in his late 20s, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious head serious injuries which has resulted in ongoing treatment.
The suspect, a 32-year-old man from Northallerton, left the scene but was arrested for the assault a short time later. He has been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, they are appealing for information from those who witnessed the incident to come forward as soon as possible.
