Scarborough Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault on St Nicholas Street at around 3.20am on Sunday (8 January 2023).
The victim, a man aged in his 30s from Bishop Auckland, County Durham, was punched in the face by another man after intervening in an altercation between two women.
As well as witnesses and information about the incident, we are also appealing for a man and woman who had been in Sanctuary Bar to come forward to assist the investigation.
